DroneTracker Bridge – Portable Drone Detection Device

The DroneTracker Bridge – Portable Drone Detection Device – Compact Remote ID receiver for drones, iOS, and Android devices.

The DroneTracker Bridge is your entry point into drone detection. Compact and portable, it instantly connects to your smartphone, turning it into a powerful drone tracking tool. Ideal for hobbyists, security beginners, or anyone needing fast, affordable airspace awareness.

What is the ADS Drone Tracker Bridge?

The ADS DroneTracker Bridge is a Remote ID detection receiver compatible with iOS, Android, and drone detection platforms. It captures WLAN Beacon or Bluetooth Long Range signals from drones, which are often undetectable by smartphones alone, making these signals visible and extending detection range.

The ADS Drone Tracker Bridge is a lightweight, handheld device designed to instantly bring advanced drone detection to your smartphone. With a rugged enclosure, external antenna, and USB cable, this compact receiver captures Remote ID signals from nearby drones and converts them into data your iOS or Android device can read.

Why It Matters: Remote ID, often called the “digital license plate” for drones, is now mandatory for most drones in the USA, Japan, and the European Union. Standard smartphones can’t read these signals directly — The Drone Tracker Bridge solves that problem. Learn More about remote ID here

  • Which drones does Drone Detector Bridge detect?

Drone Detection Bridge device is “drone-agnostic,” meaning it can detect any modern drone (e.g., DJI, Autel, Parrot) that broadcasts a standard Remote ID signal. It's important to know that if a drone doesn't transmit Remote ID (which is common for drones under 250g), The device won't be able to see it, as there's no signal to detect. Please learn more about remote id here

  • Understanding What the DroneTracker Bridge Detects

Important Information About Drone Detection & Remote ID Compliance

The DroneTracker Bridge is designed to detect and display information from Remote ID–compliant drones — those equipped with broadcast modules or built-in Remote ID capability as required by the FAA’s Remote ID regulations (14 CFR Part 89).

The DroneTracker Bridge detects all Remote ID-equipped drones compliant with FAA, EASA, and MLIT standards. The system is designed to detect unauthorized drone activities, including unintentional breaches and low-sophistication criminal operations.

For a comprehensive list of drones go to https://drone-remote-id.com/

If a drone does not broadcast Remote ID data, it cannot be detected by the DroneTracker Bridge or any other Remote ID receiver. This includes:

    • Older drones that were released before Remote ID requirements.
    • Modified/custom-built drones without Remote ID modules.
    • Drones flown in FRIAs (FAA-Recognized Identification Areas) — where Remote ID broadcasting is not required.

    Why This Matters

Remote ID acts like a “digital license plate” for drones, transmitting information such as:
    • Drone ID number
    • Drone location and altitude
    • Pilot (operator) location
    • Flight path

The DroneTracker Bridge listens to these signals using approved frequencies and decoding standards.

If no Remote ID signal is being transmitted, there’s nothing to detect — even if a drone is visible in the sky.

  • Common Questions

    Common Customer Questions

Q: Why doesn’t it detect my drone? A: Your drone isn’t broadcasting Remote ID. Only drones that are legal and comply with FAA Remote ID standards will appear in the detection list.

Q: How do I assume my drone has Remote ID? A: Check your drone’s specifications or the FAA’s Declaration of Compliance list. Most newer DJI, Autel, and Skydio drones are compliant. Some drones may appear on compliance list but still do not work or are turned off.

Q: How can I verify that my drone's Remote ID and the DroneTracker Bridge are working correctly? A: First, unplug the DroneTracker Bridge then fly your drone. Open one of the apps listed in the Quick Start Guide, make sure Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are turned on. Stand within about 5–10 feet of the drone while it’s flying. If the app detects and displays your drone, the drone is broadcasting Remote ID properly. Then reconnect the Bridge. If the Bridge is detected by the app, both the drone's Remote ID and the Bridge are working correctly.

Q: Can I detect non-compliant, illegal or modified drones? A: No. Detection of non-broadcast drones requires specialized counter-drone equipment that is not available for civilian use under FAA regulations.

    Recommended Setup Tips
    • Ensure the DroneTracker Bridge is powered on and connected to a supported drone detection app on your phone.
    • Verify that both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are enabled on your phone.
    • Open the app's Map View to see live drone detections and their locations in real time.
    • For best results, allow the app all requested permissions, including location access.

    In Summary
The DroneTracker Bridge provides accurate detection for Remote ID–compliant drones, helping you verify compliance and improve airspace awareness.

If your drone or the drone you’re monitoring does not transmit Remote ID, it will not appear — this is expected behavior and does not mean the device is malfunctioning.

  • Can Drone Detection Kit locate the drone pilot?

Yes. If the drone is broadcasting the pilot's location as part of its Remote ID signal, the Drone Detection Kit will show you that position on the map. If the pilot's location isn't being sent, Drone Detection Bridge Kit will show you the drone's take-off point instead.

  • What is the detection range of the Kit?

Drone Detection Bridge Kit has a real-world detection range of up to 5 km (3 miles) with the default antenna, and detection is in real-time. This range can be affected by interference, as Remote ID uses the crowded 2.4 GHz frequency (like Wi-Fi), but it can also be extended by being in a elevateded positon.

A Great Tool for Personal Airspace Awareness

I live near open land and small neighborhoods where people sometimes fly drones without warning. The DroneTracker Bridge gives me instant awareness anytime a drone is nearby. It’s small, easy to set up, and connects to my phone so I can see flight paths and pilot IDs right away. I use it mainly for peace of mind — to know when something’s overhead that shouldn’t be. Highly recommend for anyone who values privacy, property security, or situational awareness.
